
Baked Apple
INGREDIENTS
- 1 large cooking apple
- 1 teaspoon raisins
- 1 teaspoon dried California figs, chopped
- 1 teaspoon nuts, chopped
- Pinch of cinnamon
PROCEDURE
Heat oven to 400°F.
Wash the apple. Core, leaving 1/4 inch at the bottom to hold the filling.
In a mixing bowl, combine the raisins, figs, dates and nuts.
Fill the apple center with the mixture. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Wrap the apple in foil. Place in a shallow baking dish and add 2 tablespoons water.
Bake for about 30 minutes or until soft. Can cook in microwave-safe container on high for 8-10 minutes.
