California Fig Balsamic Sauce


  • 1 Tbsp. Butter, unsalted
  • 3/4 cup Onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup Chicken Stock
  • 2 tsp. Soy Sauce, low sodium
  • 1/2 cup California Dried Mission Figs, finely chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. Dried Thyme
  • Pinch of Salt


  1. Over medium heat, add butter to pan and melt.

  2. Add onion; sauté 3 minutes or until translucent.

  3. Add stock, vinegar, soy sauce and figs. Simmer until sauce is reduced by half.

  4. Add thyme and salt, mix well, serve, or hold hot.

Serving Suggestion:

  • Drizzle over seared pork tenderloin with a side of greens.
